Ethereum Transactions and Tokens

What is Ethereum, and what is it used for?

Ethereum is a decentralized, open-source, and distributed computing platform that enables the creation of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dapps.)

How do I pay for gas, and why am I paying so much?

All transaction fees on Ethereum require “gas”, which is paid with ETH. This means you always need ETH in your wallet in addition to any other currency you receive.

"Gas" is a unit of measurement. It also refers to the cost of having something written on the Ethereum blockchain. "Gas price" refers to the amount of ETH (in a small unit called gwei) that must be paid to validators to process any Ethereum network transaction.

Valora always displays fees clearly, so there are no surprises or hidden costs. While fees fluctuate with demand, Valora works hard to source the best rate.

How do I add Ethereum tokens on Valora?

Depending on your country, you can add any Ethereum token to your Valora wallet or purchase through integrated partners like Ramp, Moonpay, Coinbase Pay, Bitmama, and Fonbnk. Purchase Ethereum tokens by tapping “Buy” on your home screen and then indicating the amount of ETH you would like to purchase.

Note: Providers may change based on the amount of crypto you are buying.

When will more tokens and chains be available?

We are actively working on making more multi-chain features available. If you have a specific request, please submit it here.

What If I need help using Ethereum or want to report a bug?
