Withdrawing via a crypto exchange is straightforward. Ensure the following before starting:
- An account with an exchange that supports CELO, such as Coinbase, Binance, or OKX.
- The Celo network address for the exchange account.
- CELO tokens.
If holding cUSD, USDC, or other Celo tokens, swap them for CELO within Valora before transferring to the exchange, as most centralized exchanges only support CELO.
Step 1 - On Valora’s Home screen, tap on the green Send button.
Step 2 - Enter the address from the exchange.
Ensure the address entered is for the Celo network. It is recommended to copy and paste the address, verifying that the first and last four characters are correct.
If uncertain, confirm with the exchange to ensure the correct address is used. For additional caution, users can send a small test transaction to verify both the address and token. Check out more tips in our best practices article.
Step 3 - Enter token details.
- Select CELO as the token you want to send.
- Input the amount to be sent.
If sending the maximum amount, ensure there are sufficient funds to cover gas fees for the transaction. - Tap Review to view transaction details, including estimated fees and the total transaction cost.
Step 4 - Confirm and Send.
Verify the transaction details are correct, then tap Send.
