Staking and unstaking CELO is done through decentralized applications (dapps). Follow this general guide to un-stake CELO:
- Return to the app where CELO was originally staked and begin the unlocking process. This will take approximately 3 days to complete.
- If votes have been cast for validators, those votes must be removed before unstaking.

After the 3-day period, go back to the same dapp and manually claim the funds. CELO will not be returned without completing this step.
Once these steps are completed, full access to the CELO will be restored.
