How to use Live Link

What is Live Link?

Live Link is an easy way to send funds to anyone who hasn’t created a Valora address yet. You can even send it to anyone who doesn’t have the Valora app yet. 

All you have to do is send funds using a Live Link and then share the link with your network. It’s that simple.

Pre-requisites:

Valora must be on version 1.81+ to create and claim a Live Link.

Live Link only works on the Celo Network.

 

How to create and share a Live Link:

  1. Go to Valora's home screen and tap Send.
  2. Tap Send with a Live Link.
  3. Enter the amount and select a Celo token. Tap Review.
  4. Confirm the amount. Tap Send and create link.
  5. Enter your PIN.
  6. Share your link, or have your friend scan the QR code with their phone’s camera!

Ensure you save the link for later; you won't be able to regenerate it after you exit this page.

How to claim a Live Link

All you have to do is tap on the Live Link.

Valora users

If you have Valora, you will be redirected to Valora. You should see a message informing you the funds are on their way. Once the transaction is complete, you will see a new item in your activity feed called "Live Link - Funds received."

Non-Valora users

If you do not have Valora, you will be redirected to the App Store or Play Store to download Valora. Once you create an address on Valora, you will receive your funds.

Error: Unable to claim funds

If you cannot claim funds, this means that the funds have been claimed by someone else or reclaimed by the person who created the Live Link.

How to reclaim funds in your Live Link:

  1. Go to your Valora Home screen.
  2. Locate your Live Link transaction in your activity feed and tap on it.
  3. Tap Reclaim.

If the Reclaim button is unavailable, your link has already been claimed or reclaimed.
